David became a management consultant after 8 years in manufacturing management with the Marconi Company. With Orr and Boss and Partners, he worked in multi-national companies in the UK, North America and across Europe, raising performance levels, reducing waste and increasing profit. He was Managing Director for 5 years. He started David Owen Associates in 1989 and has worked in a wide variety of clients across a broad range of industrial sectors with a focus on the Medical Device Regulation and IT sectors and ISO standards.
