Experience and Qualifications
| 1999 - present - Independent Consulting |
Shell - BA - William Mercer - Imperial College - Earls Court & Olympia - Atkins - Confidential Government Department - BBC In 1999 I formed Bluestone, an independent consultancy. As an independent consultant I work directly with change leadership and their extended support teams and networks. I help them shape and define the programme, understand, satisfy and manage stakeholders, and ensure they realise benefits. I carry out assignments directly with clients and also as an associate of larger consultancies. |
| 1982 - 1999 - Management Consultancy Companies | PA - Butler Cox - Pagoda I became a Management Consultant and consultancy manager with PA Consulting, later with Butler Cox. During that time I helped businesses and end users innovate in their use of PCs and communications to support their day to day work - taking the use of IT more directly into offices and administrative areas that previously had relied on paper-based methods. I helped found PA's office ssystems practice and founded a business systems practice at Butler Cox. In 1989 I co-founded a consultancy called Pagoda, focused on making IT functions more customer friendly, business focused and effective. I co-ran that company for 10 years, taking it to a turnover of £3m. |
| 1976 - 1982 - Business and Systems in Industry | Rolls Royce - IBM - Imperial College I spent six years in Industry as a Business Planner with Rolls Royce Aero Engines and as a Systems Engineer with IBM before taking a sabbatical to do an MSc at Imperial College. At IBM I pioneered the introduction of (in those days revolutionary) new end user technologies such as email, word processing and electronic document storage. |
